December 1963 Dr. Masao Kimura moved to the Department of Chemistry from Nagoya University to begin preparations for the establishment of the Structural Chemistry Laboratory.
April 1964 The Structural Chemistry Laboratory established (Department of the Second Chemistry) with Masao Kimura as the professor in charge.
July 1964 Dr. Takao Iijima from the University of Tokyo joins as an associate professor.
April 1965 Dr. Shigehiro Konaka from the University of Tokyo joins as a research associate.
October 1969 Dr. Shunichi Ikawa from Tokyo Institute of Technology joins as a research associate.
May 1976 Dr. Shigehiro Konaka promoted to lecturer.
June 1977 Dr. Takao Iijima moved to Gakushuin University.
October 1977 Dr. Shigehiro Konaka promoted to associate professor.
January 1978 Dr. Kenji Fukushi from Hokkaido University joins as a research associate.
July 1979 Dr. Shunichi Ikawa promoted to lecturer.
March 1985 Dr. Masao Kimura retires.
January 1986 Dr. Shigehiro Konaka promoted to professor.
March 1986 Dr. Kenji Fukushi transferred to the Ministry of Education.
October 1986 Dr. Shunichi Ikawa promoted to associate professor.
October 1986 Dr. Toru Egawa from the University of Tokyo joins as a research associate.
April 1989 Dr. Hiroshi Takeuchi from Hokkaido University joins as a research associate.
April 1995 Dr. Shunichi Ikawa promoted to professor
July 1999 Dr. Toru Egawa promoted to lecturer.
March 2003 Dr. Shigehiro Konaka retires.
March 2005 Dr. Shunichi Ikawa retires.
April 2005 Dr. Koichiro Ishimori from Kyoto University joins as a professor.
September 2005 Dr. Takeshi Uchida from the Institute for Molecular Science, National Institutes of Natural Science, joins as a research associate.
April 2007 Dr. Toru Egawa moved to Kitasato University.
April 2013 Dr. Ishimori is appointed to Executive Advisor (〜March 2014)
June 2013 Dr. Takeshi Uchida promoted to associate professor.
April 2014 Dr. Ishimori is appointed to Council Member and Vice Dean of Faculty of Science
